PatArtLAB

Für PatArtLAB realisierte innerfields eine großformatige Wandgestaltung im Eingangsbereich einer Immobilie in Potsdam. Das Projekt entstand für die Immobiliengesellschaft Patrizia und hatte das Ziel, der Architektur einen identitätsstiftenden Auftakt zu verleihen.

Ausgangspunkt der Arbeit war das Potsdamer Stadtwappen, das innerfields auf zeitgenössische Weise neu interpretierte. Im Zentrum der Komposition sitzt eine monumentale Frauenfigur mit Adlerkopf auf einem Thron. Vor einem kräftig roten Hintergrund, der sich aus einem bestimmten Blickwinkel zu einer stilisierten Fahne formt, entsteht eine Bildwelt zwischen Heraldik, Street Art und klassischer Malerei.

Malerisch ausgeführte Rosen – als Verweis auf die Gärten von Schloss Sanssouci – rahmen die Szene ein. Fliegende Putten spannen die Fahne, während ein kleiner Junge mit Kreide ein Segelboot darauf zeichnet und damit die Bedeutung des Wassersports für Potsdam aufgreift. So verbindet das Werk historische Symbole mit einer zeitgenössischen Bildsprache und erzählt die Geschichte der Stadt auf neue Weise.

Für innerfields war die Zusammenarbeit mit PatArtLAB von besonderer Bedeutung. Das Projekt entstand in einem Umfeld, das bereits mit international renommierten Urban-Art-Künstlern wie Aryz und Sainer gearbeitet hatte und den Künstlern den Freiraum bot, ihre eigene Bildsprache konsequent weiterzuentwickeln.

For PatArtLAB, innerfields created a large-scale mural for the entrance area of a property in Potsdam. Commissioned by the real estate company Patrizia, the project was intended to give the building a distinctive visual identity from the moment visitors entered.

The starting point for the artwork was the coat of arms of Potsdam, which innerfields reinterpreted in a contemporary way. At the center of the composition sits a monumental female figure with an eagle’s head on a throne. Set against a bold red background that transforms into a stylized flag when viewed from a particular angle, the mural creates a visual world that blends heraldry, street art, and classical painting.

Painted roses, referencing the gardens of Sanssouci Palace, frame the scene. Flying cherubs hold the flag in place, while a young boy draws a sailboat on it with chalk, alluding to the importance of water sports in Potsdam. In this way, the artwork combines historical symbols with a contemporary visual language, offering a fresh interpretation of the city’s identity.

For innerfields, the collaboration with PatArtLAB was particularly meaningful. The project was realized in an environment that had previously worked with internationally renowned urban artists such as Aryz and Sainer, while giving innerfields the creative freedom to further develop its own distinctive visual language.
